The finish can be sanded smooth or distressed with sandpaper. It is essential to add a protective coating to chalky finish furniture before use. We recommend Da Vinci wax or Glaze Clearcoat.

For Textured Finish (For Distressed or Vintique paint)
For 250mls of paint ( ratios of) take approx 250ml (volume) of dry chalk Powder and slowly add water or Roma wash until a very thick paste and then add with Distressed or Vintique paints

Easy answer -the ready mixed chalky paint finish will remain stable (ie not separate) has better adhesion, and isn't clumpy but still works the same.
